What to Expect at Your Brazilian Wax
-
Before
Let your hair grow to about ¼ inch (a grain of rice). Gently exfoliate a day or two before, skip lotion that day, and come as you are. Zero judgment.
-
During
Fast, clean and as comfy as a Brazilian gets. I'll talk you through every step, and we go at your pace. No rush.
-
After
Skip hot tubs, workouts and tight pants for 24 hours. Exfoliate a few times a week to keep ingrowns away, and rebook every 4 to 6 weeks to stay smooth.
Brazilian Wax FAQs
Does a Brazilian wax hurt?
Honestly? A little, especially your first time. It gets easier the more you do it. Pain is subjective, and the anticipation is the worst part. Your Brazilian is over in about 7 minutes, so before you know it, you're done.
How long should my hair be?
About ¼ inch, the size of a grain of rice. Usually 3 to 4 weeks of growth. Too short and the wax can't grab it. The longer the better.
What's the difference between a Brazilian and a bikini wax?
A bikini wax cleans up what shows outside your underwear. A Brazilian takes it all, front to back, or leaves a little strip if you want.
How do I keep ingrown hairs away?
Exfoliate 2 to 3 times a week starting a couple days after your wax, and keep skin moisturized. My Waxing Must Haves are made for exactly this.
